In a clinical trial of 262 healthy older adults, Gingko biloba extract demonstrated significantly improved mental functioning compared with placebo.

Following single doses of Gingko biloba and a Gingko/ginseng combination in healthy, young adult volunteers, performance on arithmetic tests and self-rated mood was significantly improved. These study findings indicated that Gingko biloba may help support mental well being as well as cognitive function.
