Medical Tourism: The CHRISTUS Story

Because CHRISTUS is a Catholic, faith-based health care system, some of our potential strategies are driven by a “call”, meaning that other health care systems ask us whether we might be interested in partnering with them. Such was the case in early 2000, when we received a call from the Muguerza health system in Mexico. Because of the growing Hispanic population in the U.S., the increasing need
