Chiropractic claims demolished

From Ben Goldacres's blog...

There is no good evidence that chiropractic is effective for the conditions claimed by the British Chiropractic Association [children’s colic, sleeping and feeding problems, ear infections, asthma and prolonged crying].

This post quickly and thoroughly assesses the evidence and shows, not only that there is no good evidence that chiropractic is effective for these conditions, but also, that the British Chiropractic Association ignores studies that do not support its claims.

And so my comments on this on Breakfast were perfectly accurate, yet the complaint against them was upheld by a panel of non-scientists who had not reviewed the evidence themselves.

Ben also makes the point that chiropractors were pretty much left to get on with it before they sued Simon Singh, now, people are looking at the evidence for their claims and seeing that there is none. Their attacks on scientific free speech are backfiring spectatularly.
